An experimental archaeology site for schools and community groups

Volunteers Needed!

The project has been so successful that we would like to continue working at the site, offering schools and community groups the chance to come and learn about their past. To do this we are looking to set up a volunteer network of people who can give up some of their time either during the week or on the occasional weekend to help teach visiting school groups in skills such as green woodworking, thatching, survival skills, outdoor cooking, weaving, willow and pottery work. If you already have skills in these areas then we would welcome you with open arms! If not then don’t worry as we are offering, free of charge, full training from specialists, plus health and safety, first aid training and full CRB checks. All we ask from you is a commitment to the project for 2 years. If the practical work doesn’t appeal and you have management and organisational skills to offer then there could be a place for you too.
